Jesús is a vocational program of the Archdiocese of Chicago started in 1987 to generate priests who will effectively evangelize the growing Hispanic population in Chicago. The young men entering Casa Jesús are native to Spanish-speaking countries, giving them the background in culture and faith needed to serve the Spanish-speaking immigrant population of Chicago.
Casa Jesus es un programa vocacional de la arquidiócesis de Chicago fundado en 1987 para crear sacerdotes que evangelizaran con efectividad a la población hispana de Chicago cada vez más creciente. Los jóvenes hispanos que ingresan a Casa Jesus son nativos de países de habla hispana, lo cual les da los antecedentes necesarios en la cultura y fe para servir a la población hispana inmigrante en Chicago.

The University of Saint Mary of the Lake / Mundelein Seminary is the major theological seminary of the Archdiocese of Chicago with a national and international outreach.
The primary mission of the University of Saint Mary of the Lake / Mundelein Seminary is to prepare candidates to be priests of Jesus Christ, priest, teacher and shepherd. It educates men for pastoral ministry as diocesan priests to be co-workers with their bishops in the service of the Catholic Church.
As part of its mission to educate future leaders for pastoral ministry, the University of Saint Mary of the Lake / Mundelein Seminary administers additional, distinct programs of training for lay ecclesial ministers and permanent deacons. It also offers a Doctor of Ministry Program for qualified candidates who are actively engaged in pastoral ministry.
